Telemedicine - the new world of patient and doctor communication
In the medical world, a strong business case is emerging
for timely, one-on-one types of services that provide both
patients and healthcare professionals with rapid access to
information, eliminating many of the delays that patients
are accustomed to. Lions Bay Technologies began working with
Treatment Inc. to develop a rich array of live communication
web-based services that would answer this need.
Treatment.com allows consumers to consult in real-time with
a member roster of physicians, dentists, therapists, naturopaths
and pharmacists. Live communication features allow consumers
to see who is available at any time, and contact them immediately – through
Voice over IP. At the same time, healthcare professionals
use Treatment.com to view test results, request prescription
refills, conduct research, set up appointments, and to connect
with patients through videoconferencing – for example,
counseling a group of seniors at a home. Insurers can also
collaborate with caregivers for efficient transfer of patient
information.
For caregivers, Treatment.com provides cost-benefits and
high level of service to patients. For patients, timely
test results and answers to their ongoing questions between
health care visits are a key incentive to join the Treatment.com
network.
Through working with Lions Bay Technologies, Treatment.com
has effectively merged a CRM system with live communication
tools, enabling richer communication, cost-savings, and a
whole new level of service for patients.

information system
One of the top automotive groups in North America, Sullivan
Automotive manages a growing number of dealerships in California.
Fast-paced growth had brought a need for a set of strategic
tools that would help the company monitor the financial status
of their dealerships in a timelier manner.
Lions Bay worked with Sullivan to build a web-based management
information system that would amalgamate data from each dealership.
Head office can now use this information as a financial projection
system for income and expenses, as well as to establish patterns,
check forecasting, and to set sales targets and other goals.
This has provided the company with a new level of insight
and knowledge regarding each business day’s activities.
The system is hosted by Lions Bay, freeing Sullivan Group’s
team to focus on what they do best – selling high-end
automobiles. Each dealership needs only Internet access,
and Lions Bay takes care of all maintenance and management.
Built using a highly efficient modular approach, other modules
and features, such as CRM, HR, or live communication can
be easily added at a later date. |
